How to sign up for Genie/download Genie App and purchase/redeem Genie pass

Below is a tutorial on how to download Genie App to stream 김성규 Sunggyu's title track, I'm Cold on Genie and contribute to 40-65% of Sunggyu's music show chart scores.

The Show - Digital (40%)

Show Champion - Digital sales (streaming + downloads) (40%)

M Countdown - Digital music sales score (45%)

Music Bank - Digital music charts (65%)

Show! Music Core - Physical Album + Digital Sales (60%)

Inkigayo - Digital single sales (55%)

Search for 김성규 on Genie, download/stream his title track I'm Cold! Play Kim Sung Kyu’s I'm Cold at least once every hour. Play it in full without skipping or pausing and in high quality.

CREATE ACCOUNT

Go to this website: https://www.genie.co.kr/

If you get this error message, choose another ID.

Once you are done, you would have signed up as a Genie member.

MOBILE

Before you start, change your Apple ID to the Korean store.

1. Search for Genie in Apple Store and download the app

2. Click on the bottom right text

3. Then login

4. Choose to login either by KaKao, Facebook or Twitter and allow access.

5. Once you allow access to either Facebook, Kakao or Twitter, you will be redirected to this page:

If you have a free coupon to redeem, please follow the steps below.

This example above is for streaming 100 times, valid for 30 days. If you have a free coupon, please do not waste it. It is alright if you are not streaming repeatedly but to just stream the title song True Love once every hour, from start to finish without pause, for it to count. In this manner, by streaming once every hour, technically you can stream 100 times for 100 hour.

6. Click on top right corner to see the purchase plan options. You will need to switch out from your Apple ID that has its country as Korea, Republic of, back to your own account that is tied to your credit card as the foreign payment types may not be accepted in the Korean store.

MOBILE

Use your mobile Genie app to buy the plans.

7. Select the plan you want, click confirm and then key in your Apple ID password to confirm the purchase. Please select the USD14.29 option as first option does not count to chart.
